The 2 worry that this will bring an end to their carefree days with Simba. - The vocal originally was storyboarded to be sung past Timon and Pumbaa in a comical style, only was inverse at the insistence of Elton John to exist the flick's "Prince and Princess" moment. Plus, it wouldn't make sense to waste such a grand number on secondary characters.
- This song was the first song Elton John wrote for the film.[1]
- Information technology was only through the insistence of Elton John that the song was included in the moving picture.
- Several demos of the song were recorded during the film's product. One demo was sung just by Timon and Pumbaa, but Elton John disliked the comical nature of the concept; part of it is used for the terminal film. Another demo was recorded by Joseph Williams and Sally Dworsky as Simba and Nala, simply it was also scrapped as it didn't connect with the African-themed music for the film. Part of that demo appeared in a behind-the-scenes teaser trailer for the film on the 1994 VHS release of The Play a trick on and the Hound, which viewers will not discover anywhere else except in the storyboard.
- In the original soundtrack version of the vocal, Timon and Pumbaa'due south sobbing at the end is prolonged, eventually cutting to them snoring, implying that they cried themselves to sleep.
- The part where Timon and Pumbaa cry at the finish of the vocal in the soundtrack was cut off from Radio Disney Junior broadcasts.
- According to Mouse Under Glass, Tim Rice wrote xv different drafts for the vocal before finally settling on the version included in the pic.
- Disney's Sing-Forth Songs: Colors of the Wind featured the song performed by Arnold McCuller and Andrea Robinson (who unfortunately went uncredited), ready to a montage of clips featuring couples from The Lion King, Bambi, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Brave Picayune Tailor, Fun and Fancy Gratis, Cinderella, Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, and Melody Time. The music video was also featured (without on-screen lyrics) in the 1997 not-US compilation video Disney's Greatest Love Songs.
- At that place is a version of this vocal sung in the French track of The Lion King 1½ throughout the credits instead of "Grazing in the Grass" by Raven-Symoné and a reprise of "That'southward All I Demand" by Timon, performed by unknown singers.
- In the midquel film, Timon and Pumbaa try to trip Nala and Simba upward with a vine, which causes the lions to roll down the hill.
- The 2010 version cuts to the Broadway and North American bout versions of the evidence eliminated the aerial ballet (withal axiomatic in the original cast recording by an instrumental break in the song).
- The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar makes a nod to the song when Kion says, "Dad, nosotros already had that talk! Can yous feel the love tonight? I know all about that mushy stuff!"
- A parody of this song is seen in Zootopia on the playlist of Judy Hopps' music player under the name "Can You Experience the Fluff This evening", though the balance of the song'southward proper noun is covered by Judy's thumb.
- This vocal sometimes inverse lyrics to "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Yr" (Walt Disney World version) and "It'south the Most Magical Time of the Year" (Disneyland version) instead of the lyrics "With all its living things", which reflects the holiday season. Information technology tin be seen on 2017 edition of Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration.
- The music to part of the vocal can be heard when Zazu tells Simba and Nala how they are matrimonial.
- Elton John sang his version of the song at the 1994 University Awards.
- Information technology is very heavily implied that Simba and Nala mated at the end of the song, and also conceived Kiara in the process, hence foreshadowing the infant Kiara's cursory cameo at the stop of the film, with the joke in Return of the Roar seemingly confirming information technology.
- In Lion King ane/2, Timon's verse is seen from a different bending where nosotros meet Simba and Nala walking off into the distance after they embraced.
